Sexual Self-Evaluation

  1. Has your interest in or desire for sex been decreased before or since you began taking antidepressants?
  2. Men, do you have difficulty maintaining an erection?
  3. Do you have a sense of numbness or reduced sensitivity in your genital area when touched?
  4. Do you find that you rarely or never achieve orgasm or that it takes more time to achieve?
  5. Men, do you have difficulty with penetration? Women, do you find intercourse painful because you've had a change in lubrication during sex?
  6. Is your intimate relationship, or willingness to get involved in a relationship, being affected by any sexual problems?
  7. Do you feel unconcerned about your lack of a sex life?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may be experiencing a side effect of antidepressants or be suffering from an undiagnosed problem that affects your sexuality.
